Normangee Elementary serves special education students in the regular education classroom and/or through the special education resource classroom, depending on the needs of the individual student. We have one special education teacher and several instructional aides who work directly with students in all core subject areas.
Helena Kelly – Mrs. Kelly wears many hats at NES — primarily, she is our special education teacher. She has spent 10 of her eleven teaching years right here in Normangee in all grade levels. She currently serves students in grades K-5. She is also our dyslexia screener, ESL program screener, and after-school program coordinator. She and her husband of 20 years, Deputy Robert Kelly, have three children, several grandchildren, and one more on the way, due to arrive in April. Mrs. Kelly loves the great outdoors, boating, camping, and spending time laughing with friends and family. She especially loves caring for her beloved Shih Tzuhs, Sora and Kairi.
